Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information FreeBPMFinder (“we”, “us”) collects when you use freebpmfinder.com (the “Site”), and how it’s used.

The short version

Audio files

When you choose or drop an audio file, it is read and decoded by your browser and analyzed in your device’s memory. The file is not sent to us or anyone else, and it is discarded when you leave or reload the page.

Microphone and tab audio

Live listening asks for microphone access, or for permission to share a browser tab, only after you press a listen button. The audio is processed in real time inside your browser to measure tempo and key. It is never saved, recorded or transmitted, and the microphone or tab sharing switches off when you press Stop or leave the page. If you share a tab, your browser may briefly show a screen-sharing indicator. We discard the video immediately and use only the audio. You can revoke these permissions at any time in your browser settings.

Information stored on your device

We use your browser’s local storage to remember your theme preference (light or dark) and your most recent result (BPM, key and file name) so you can see it when you return. This stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit the Site and which pages are popular. It does not use cookies and does not track you across websites. It collects standard technical information such as page views, referring sites, browser type and country.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps the Site free.

If you’re in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you’ll be asked for consent before personalized ads or non-essential cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the Site securely and protect it from abuse.

Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information. Because we don’t collect personal information directly, there is usually nothing for us to provide, but you can contact us with any request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
